Hacienda Morelos

We stayed 11 days in June 2025 in our spacious room with a wonderful ocean view at a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, and we always had plenty of hot water for showering. We had sliding glass doors to our balcony that had a small table and 2 chairs. Tip: Always lock the sliding doors to your balcony when you're not using it. Complimentary coffee and ceramic cups in the attractive hotel lobby was very good and appreciated. We enjoyed a refreshing dip in the swimming pool after a day at the beach or going on excursions. For a few days we didn't realize we should enter the beach pool area through a special coded gate, and we felt badly for walking through the restaurant to go to the beach or pool. I think we weren't told, maybe because we checked in fairly late in the day. The Muelle Once Restaurant always had excellent, very beautiful food, and the service was tops. We loved starting our day having breakfast there, with freshly made natural iced beverages and coffee. There was something special about each of the food items we ordered. One suggestion I would make is that the bedding could be upgraded. We really appreciate having had a great stay at Hacienda Morales.

Its a great spot on the beach, not the fanciest rooms. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is our fifth visit and we always enjoy our time. The restaurant next door is a gem!

Location and service are great. Rooms are ok. The restaurant can get loud, it's expected during the day and night, but their morning starts early.

I stayed here in April 2025. The location is really hard to be. You're right on the beach and really close to the pier. That also puts you very close to the plaza in the middle of town. This place could be absolutely great if they would just fix a few things up. It is starting to get old and needs more upkeep. Other than that, it was pretty good. The daily room service does not change bed sheets. I wish they did. There are dispensers in the shower and by the sink for soap but they smell like formaldehyde. I ended up going to the store and getting my own. Speaking of which, there is a good grocery store literally right across the street. People who have left reviews complaining about a nightclub across the street. There is nothing across the street. The building is empty. TV reception is bad and it's all in Spanish. The TV has USB ports and is a smart TV so you can use apps on it. I had movies on a USB drive that played just fine. One thing to keep in mind is that this is not a luxury resort. It is a three-star hotel.

Staying here for a few days on a friend's recommendation and it has been the perfect place for us. Right on the beach - we have a balcony looking onto the sea - but also walking distance to lots of good restaurants and shops. The staff are really helpful and there is an on-site dive shop that runs snorkeling and diving trips to the offshore reef. The restaurant is also very good, both for food and for cocktails! We will definitely stay here again.

Location location location Fun environment The hotel room has your basics. Safe for passports etc Nice sized wardrobe for you lucky junk. Fridge is good for water, beer juice and snacks. Parking if you have a car. Restaurant and pool Every room is ocean view. There is a local car rental 2 blocks away if you wanted to take a car out for a day. The city center square has lots of activity right out side the door The community is very mindful for mobility access. A few places had step but most had ramps. The best things: The view is exceptional. Harbour, lighthouse, local pier, soft sandy beach. Small town access to exceptions restaurants. There is even a Michelin restaurant a block away. Well stock grocery store with anything you could need. Produce bakery meat, deli and cafe. Massage next door or next door or next door. The massages violets wasn’t accessible for people with problems with stairs to the main massage area. The local souvenir shops are all friendly. And we had fun hunting down series of collectibles and bargaining. It was all in good nature, but not for the weak of heart. This was our first adventure as free range tourists in Mexico. Previously we were resort cats. We spent ten days touring the Yucatán. We went al over and ended in Puerto Morelos for 2 nights. It’s our favourite It is definitely targets tourists, mostly Canadian, American and Scandinavian Europeans. The decor is pretty basic, and could use a bit of a spruce up furniture and wood takes a beating in this climate And the beds vary wildly from very soft to very hard. Dealers choice Love the new gate! 10/10 Will stay again If it’s “real mexico” you want, this isn’t it. If it’s fun Mexico with musicians and artists and great food. To feel independent and safe. This is it.

I can never get an answer from the Hotel Hacienda Front Desk employees. What is the lovely fragrance they put in the HVAC system? Smells so refreshing!

This is an amazing little hotle. It has an amazing spot with a pool and private beach as well. There are so many restaurants within a 2-3 minute walk it is easy to find meals. There is also a large supermarket directly across the road with everything you could possibly ever need. The hotel also has a few minutes walk to the town centre were there are plenty of sellers with Mexican items to buy. The town centre also has numerous tour operators for day trips and excursions.
